Initial scan not working

I have tried to run a scan on my laptop for the first time after install. It says it is scanning, although won't go past o%. On the screen it says it is "scanning for Trojan horse programs.....PE_NIMDA.E".... It has not progressed past this point for 1/2 hour.

Try stopping the scan and do a restart on you device, then restart the scan. This just seems to happen sometimes.

Hi ben.adcock01, as above reply, you may restart your computer and perform the scan again. Here's a reference for the detailed steps and other solutions: Scan does not finish and you cannot turn off Trend Micro Security software
