Info about Protection Against Social Network Threats

On my laptop TM flagged a friend's website as a web threat. It is rated Dangerous (49). It says it is detected by Protection Against Social Network Threats.
Since I'm a tech I thought I'd offer her some suggestions but I cannot find a thing about this in the support section. A detailed information page would be nice with answers to these questions and more:
- What is "Protection Against Social Network Threats"?
- Is this a TM company/product or someone else's?
- Is there a page that describes how it evaluates websites?
- How often are websites checked?
- Does the (49) point to the problem on that site?
- What database, who's database checks the site?
- How does a TM flagged website owner find out what triggered that rating?
- How does a website owner submit their site directly for reevaluation?

Thank you

Hello lamar  and welcome to the community!

It's unfortunate that the Trend Micro program is flagging your friend's website as a web threat but let us help you provide information to help you understand this situation.

Just to inform you, Protection Against Social Network Threats is a feature of the Trend Micro program wherein it checks a certain website that may have phishing contents. But it does not entirely go over the idea that the website may have phishing contents but also the components and resources being used by the owner to update their own website.

For you to check the security status of a certain website, you may go to the link: Site Safety Center. Once you've checked on the website, you will see that it is rated as Safe, Dangerous, Suspicious, or Untested then will provide short description why it has to be classified that way.

The Trend Micro program relies on algorithms and will be providing ratings based on predefined set of rules (that we are not allowed to disclose) for new and untested websites. For reclassification/reevaluation, kindly submit a request on the link: URL or file reclassification request. When you send a request, kindly expect for a reply within the next two (2) to seven (7) days or might even be longer than that.

Thank you and I hope you have a lovely day!
