Incompatible software found, however I don't have program to uninstall

hi I am trying to load maximum security and I am getting the incompatible software found error. I have gone to uninstall the program however it says the files cannot be found. I can't uninstall and I can't install, so I'm now stuck without any protection. I didn't have this issue with Norton's

Try to reinstall the "incompatible" software and after that maybe is possible to uninstall it with its own uninstaller.

We're very sorry to hear that you're having to go through this kind of inconvenience when just trying to install the Trend Micro program on your computer. No worries, we'll be helping you through this.

We get this kind of issue when there are remnant files of a security program that is stored on the PC which is detected by the other security program.

Member claudiu_botezatu's answer or suggested solution is correct. You can try installing the incompatible software that is being detected by the Trend Micro program so that their own installer (possibly bundled with a remover) may be able to eradicate the remnants of the incompatible program that currently stored on the computer. Once you were able to install, you may then try uninstalling the incompatible program under Control Panel Programs and Features. The Control Panel will be the one to call onto the executable file to uninstall the program.

By the way, may we know what is the incompatible program that is being detected?

i have the same issue on 2 laptops now and im fn frustrated. how do you reinstall the incompatible software??????????

Please do provide to us the incompatible software on your devices so we can check and assist you further. You may also contact the developer of that software for you to be assisted in reinstalling the software. 

By the way it is advised to install only one version of an antivirus program on your computer. Having multiple antivirus programs installed at the same time can cause performance issues and make your computer more vulnerable to threats.
