Here is your comparison of both (It's also $20 less expensive than I just paid):

Hi Tim, thank you for providing the useful information!

Hi  you don't need to purchase both Internet Security and Maximum Security, you may refer to the comparison that woodarisan55 mentioned, and choose the product which matches your need.

I've checked your account detailed and verified that the product you're using is Internet Security, and there's no duplicate purchase that you need to worry. You can also log into Trend Micro Account to confirm your subscription.

Please let us know if you have other questions.

Hello heinz_e ! Welcome to the community!
Thank you woodartisan55! For the awesome response that you have provided.

To make things short and simple, the Trend Micro Maximum Security and Internet Security offers the protection from known threats.

Major key difference is that Maximum Security licenses can be used to activate the other security programs such as the ones that you can install on your Supported Mobile Devices (Trend Micro Mobile Security for Android and iOS) and as well as Mac Computers (Trend Micro Antivirus for Mac).

The Trend Micro  Internet Security is exclusive to computers running supported Microsoft Windows Operating Systems only.

As a recommendation, if you have multiple devices on multiple platforms, it is best to have Maximum Security over Internet Security.

I hope this helps.

All the best,
