I keep getting "empty. Failed - No problem" on the at the bottom toolbar when I am using Google Mail. Google says, "This error means that you're trying to download a file that doesn't exist on this site or has been moved to another area of the site.
To fix the error, contact the website owner, or try to find the file on a different site."
As far as I know, I am not trying to download a file. I am afraid this might be a virus.

Hi schroder.a,

Can you provide a screenshot of the popup for us to take a look at it?

Regards,
Joemar

Hi schroder.a,

It looks like the file you tried to download is corrupted.

The box never goes away. It is still there even after I reboot the computer. It is still there even after writing this to you, Anne

Hi schroder.a,

For you to close those boxes, you just need to press the X button or icon beside the "Show All" box/button at the right corner.

Let me know how it goes.

Yes, that gets rid of the box temporarily, but the box still appears every time I log into Google mail. Anne

Hi schroder.a,

It is possible that there is an attachment being opened on your gmail account or extensions. Can you double check your browser extensions?
Follow these steps on how to check it:

1. On your computer, open Chrome.
2. At the top right, click More > More tools > Extensions.
3. On to the extension you want to remove, click Remove.
4. Confirm by clicking Remove.

If possible to send a screenshot of the extensions that you have, It will be appreciated.

Can you also check the hosts file? Please follow these steps below on how to:

1. Press the Windows key.2. Type Notepad in the search field.
3. In the search results, right-click Notepad and select Run as administrator.
4. From Notepad, open the following file: c:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts.
5. Make the necessary changes to the file.
6. Click File > Save to save your changes.
