We have some troubles with Trend Micro Maximum Security.

We develop an application for our employees and Trend Micro is blocking our .exe file even though we are adding the .exe file to the Exclusion List and editing the registry as explained in your doc (https://esupport.trendmicro.com/en-us/home/pages/technical-support/1104509.aspx?_ga=2.179716196.1702...)

When we decide to "Open the file" when the notification appears, the windows no longer appears. But when we shutdown the computer and restart it, the window appears again...

Can you help us ?

Thank you !

Hi pbo,

Thank you for reaching out. Can you please add the whole destination folder into the Exception List? This ensures that the entire process of your application will be allowed by the Trend Micro program.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for your answer.

I tried to add the whole destination folder (C:\VETOCONTACT) in the exception list, with the .exe, (so there are two entries in the exception list) but it's same here. Nothing have changed.

Hi pbo,

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Since the program is still being detected, it would be best to submit a file reclassification request. You may follow the guidelines on this link: Submitting a URL or file reclassification request to do that.

Thank you!

Thanks for your advice we will submit our file to avoid problems in the future.

Since this morning, without any action, the program is no longer blocked (we had problems on several computers). Does Trend Micro have a system that blocks new exe files? (Indeed, our .exe file was recently compiled and is 7 days old this morning).

Hello pbo,

Let me answer your question with a question as well. About the new .exe files that you are referring to, are you the developer of it? If yes, then you may submit your query to our Reclassification site. You may access that through here: Submitting a URL or file reclassification request.

I hope this answers your question. If you have any other concern, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
