I cannot do a scan

I cannot scan, when I finish with the computer I usually do  a quick scan, set it to shut down once finished, but I get a message saying.  Cannot scan, scan in progress, or waiting for update, but I am upto date. This problem happens during the day or a night, and I cannot see it scanning. Have checked/changed setting no luck.

There might be some issue with the components of the program or the scan hangs at a certain file, here's a link that you can use as your guide on how you can fix the issue:

Yes i did help I can now scan after using the computer and shut itself down once finished scanning

Hi mbaas1,

I would like to know if every time you do a scan, you can see a message below that says "Shut down the computer when the scan is done". The box beside it might be 'ticked' or 'checked' that is why your computer shuts down after scanning. It would be best to try doing a manual scan again to verify this. Thank you.
