I can not exit safe mode. Not even thru the escape key, f11,F2, nothing!!!!!!!!!!

I will not accept my password. When trying F11 it will do a windows offline scan then does windows defender scan without finishing. Then goes into my password screen. System test scans come up fine, Nothing!! Help!!!!

Hi apearlian.

If you are in safe mode, go to start and open the RUN window Type "MSCONFIG" and Enter
In the window from MSCONFIG put on Normal start and restart your computer to see the start is normal.
Then Windows Defender is normal off, if TM is installed, so how-cum that Defender is running?
Tell us more and provided us with some screenshots from strange tings.

Hi @apearlian, I've merged this post to an existing conversation you posted earlier in our Community.

For your Safe Mode  issue, if you still cannot exit from Safe Mode, please follow the instruction below to see if the problem solved:

  1. On your keyboard, press the Windows Windows Key + R keys.In the Open field, type "msconfig", then press ENTER. The System Configuration window should open.
  2. Click the Boot tab.
  3. You can see "Boot options" section and untick "Safe boot".
  4. Then click Apply, then click OK.
  5. Reboot your computer again.
  6. Confirm if you can boot into Normal Mode.
If the problem still persists, I'm afraid that the problem might cause by your Windows system and our support team does not have enough knowledge to help you in this case. We suggest you visiting their support page or contact them to resolve your issue.
Help for Microsoft 

If you reboot in Normal Mode successfully, please run an update manually by following steps:
  1. Right-click on the Trend Micro system tray icon at the bottom right corner of your screen.
  2. Click "Check for Program Updates" and the About Your Software windows will appear and will automatically check for available updates.
After updating, please performing a Full Scan to make sure your computer is not infected. We have a help document which describes how to performing a full scan:
