I am unable to access update as the system will not reset "scan in progress"

Welcome to TM Home users Community, a public site where volunteers try to help each-other , also there are TM Employees that can give answers, that is only at working hours. I am just a volunteer!

You can try this:
1  Win-key/r, type "supporttool" ,Enter
2 Open tab C
3 Click on 5, wait that the buttons come up again.
4 Click on 2 and 3
5 Click on 4
6 If the icon is in the tray, right click and left click on "Check for program updates"
7 than do a scan again.
