I am trying to use Teamviewer to allow someone remote access to my computer to help recover some files but it won't let them connect. However, I am able to connect to their computer remotely. I'm thinking the antivirus is the reason.

Hi Caroline,
The best way to see if it is TM to exit TM.
Rightclick icon in tray/choose than Exit and see of the problem exist.
Don't forget to start the program after the session (hope it is not the MS employee from India!)

Kind regards,
Tom

Okay.  It was a Guy with an Asian Indian accent.  He started to give me a hard sell.  I also, stupidly, gave him access to my computer and in stalled something called Malewarebytes.  He said he took it off and the icon disappeared, but before it did, I got a message that the access program was still running in background.  Now I am
Very Worried.    How can I check that nothing is on my computer?  The Guy called me back on my phone..something I consider creepy.  Please Help Me!

Hi kaufmanncl,

Then get from the internet and uninstall all that what they want you to put on, or do a system restore from before the contact!
They looking for your passwords and banking information!!!
So never accept help true internet with someone dat you don't know or that comes to you in name of MS or some other company.
So after the clean you may try the internet aggain.

Thank you Tom Emmelot for the input. That is also the same advise that I would be giving to our new friend here.
