HEU_CDPLCEXT false positive

Hi I'm running version 12 with latest updates on Win10. I have an issue with a false positive. TM has detected a threat when I tried to run an exe. The program was downloaded from Steam. HEU_CDPLCEXT is the threat. TM has locked any ability I have to restore the file. The log says access denied, detected by a Correlation Scan. I have scanned my pc with several programs from safe mode and nothing is detected, Hence my belief it is a false positive. I would like to restore the file but TM gives no option when the response is "Access Denied"

Access Denied means you either don't have privilege to access it. Or it's being used by Steam or something.

Have you already tried exiting Steam before trying to restore the file from Trend Micro? You can also try the exception list.

Uninstalled TM and everything appears to be working fine. So if I reinstall will it still lock my file with no button or method to gain access? btw I have administrator rights. bump
