Having just installed Trend Micro Max, I find I am unable to download .epub files (EReader) files to my Windows 8.1 PC

There are several reasons why you are unable to download .ebub files to your computer, but since this issue started after you installed Maximum Security on your computer, what we can recommend as a solution for now is for you to temporarily disable the Trend Micro program on your computer just to check if this is the cause.

You may refer to the link on our support page below on how to temporarily disable the Trend Micro program on your computer. 

Disabling or Enabling your Trend Micro Security Software

NOTE: Once the Trend Micro program has been disabled, please check if you are encountering the same issue and inform us of the status so we can assist you further.

In case the Trend Micro program is the cause, you may add the website that you are downloading the .ebub files from in Trend Micro's exception list. Once again, you may refer to the link below on how to add a website to the Trend Micro program's exception list:
