Full Scans lock up on Office 365 files. Why?

I have had to exclude several Office 365 files including the OSE file to allow a full scan to get past the 10% mark. Now it's locking up on another file that is truncated so I can't search for the file. This is running on a custom built computer with an AMD A10 processor with 8GB Ram. Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit OS. I'm about ready to uninstall and go with a different solution.

There are possible reasons why the scan gets stuck at a specific percentage or on certain files. Those reasons can be either of the following:
  1. Conflicting Software
  2. Insufficient Permissions 
  3. Potentially Unwanted Applications
  4. Corrupted Trend Micro components

2. ReinstallingTrend Micro Security
      a. Uninstall the Trend Micro program using the UninstallTool
      b. Remove Trend Micro remnants using the Remnant File RemoverTool
      c. Run the Trend Micro Permission Tool
      d. Download and install the Trend Micro program.
