Full scan isn't working

I installed Trend Micro on my computer for the first time on 1-13-18 & I've tried to do a full scan three times already & each time, it has done a crash dump after the full scan is in 10% progress. I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop LL75D-S7305. I wasn't having any problem with my Kaspersky antivirus that I bought from Best Buy. It was Best Buy's recommendation that we switch over to Trend Micro & I'm very disappointed with Trend Micro.

We understand that you are having troubles with the Scan feature of your Trend Micro Security as it seems to be stuck at 10%. Allow me to help you with this.

This scenarios may be caused by a number of factor. There might have been remnants of your Old Antivirus program installed on your computer. These remnant files can still interfere or even have conflicts with the Trend Micro program as it may use the same resources/process. So make sure to have the old security program fully deleted.

It will also be great if you can run a malware check using one of our free tools to check if there are any malware blocking the scans.

Then just proceed with the Clean infected computers portion only (Up to step #10 only).
