firewalls and scanner problem

since the software got upgraded this am I can't access my scanner anymore and suspect it's a firewall issue. How do I change this to allow access?

Hi Sue,
I supose you put on "Folderprotection" did you see a popup window fromTM that he is blocking something? You must click on "Trusted" if you reconise the program!
If this is not the case or i misunderstand you, suply some more information.
About OS, scanner and what exactly happend, (screenshot)

First, Trend Micro Security does not have a firewall feature, but you can refer to the Microsoft support page below to enable/disable your Microsoft Firewall.
Turn Windows Firewall on or off

For your scanner issue, let's isolate to make sure the problem is not due to Trend Micro Security. Please check if the problem is resolved after you temporarily disable Trend Micro Security. We have a support document that explains how to do this:
Disabling or enabling your Trend Micro Security software

Don't forget to enable your Trend Micro Security after the confirmation. If you confirmed that the problem is due to Trend Micro Security, please let us know.
