After installing MaximumSecurity 2016 on a MS Surface Pro 3 running windows 10, I keep getting a popup window titled "Cannot run package" with the following text: "Cannot extract package - Failed to unzip the package file C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\TMIDS\tower\tower_main".
This keeps popping up.

When I look at this directory there is no file called tower_main.

Thanks for asking here! For this issue, we suggest you to re-install Trend Micro Maximum Security to reset the program and patterns. Since the issue you're encountering is related to Password Manager, which is bundled in Maximum Security installation, hopefully a reinstall will reset everything and remove the startup error. We have a support document which explains how to reinstall:
Reinstalling the latest version of Trend Micro Security program

Are you using Password Manager regularly? If not, if the error still occurs, it will not impact Maximum Security's functions in any way. Though we understand it is annoying.

Also, thank you for being a subscriber of our premium support service! Premium Service Plan gives you 24x7 priority access to a Trend Micro support specialist. If the problem still persists, you can optionally call the Premium Service hotline directly to speak to someone live, who is also equipped with advanced tools to quickly diagnose and resolve your issues.
