Evertime I start a full scan it scans for 3-5 minutes & the program shits down.

In the mean time, can you tell the TM versionCan you first try to update in the tray or in the main menu, than first do a quick scan.Can you see the percentage before the scan stops?

Hello debbystewart,

Since you cannot access the link given by TM_Kiko, here is the breakdown of the instructions that you may follow.

STEP 1: Disable Trend Micro Security
    • Press the Windows button and letter "R" both on your keyboard at the same time to open the Run Console
    • Once the Run Console is open, type: supporttool
    • Doing that will open the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit. Once open, go to (C)Uninstall and then click on "5. Stop all components"
    • Wait until the Trend Micro icon on the system tray disappear before proceeding to the next step.
STEP 2: Download and install the Hotfix
  • Click here to download the Hotfix.
  • Once it is already downloaded, open the file to initiate the fix.
  • Choose I accept the terms of the license agreement, then click Next.
  • Click Install.
  • Click OK when a warning window opens.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Once your computer is open again, please open the Trend Micro program then try running another Full Scan.

Thanks for the Hotfix, but it didn't work. Now even a quick scan turns off Trend Micro and it starts over. Please help!!  Thank you.
