I have Trend Micro maximum security installed on Windows 10. I just received an E-mail with a link to download the maximum security package and it also references my serial number. Is this a scam or is it necessary/safe to download?

@Amir  Thank you for the helpful answer!

@kwikdrawjm  Thank your for contacting us here! Since we cannot verify the exact email content, it's hard for us to comment on whether the email is valid or scam. If the email contains your serial number, it is most likely not a scam email, and could be due to a glitch in our mail notification system. If you could provide a picture / screenshot of that email, it'll help us notify related teams and prevent this from happening in the future.

To be 100% safe, if you need to download our software, we suggest you to download Maximum Security from our official website which @Amir provided above.

Thanks and please do feel free to post questions or report issues here in this community in the future.
