I received a email from my own mail account stating my email account was hacked.Yet I never sent the mail. Yet I never open unknown docs or mail, I never visit funny sites not even porn sites which it is refering to. How can this be possible if I have trend.

I'm just a long-term Trend Micro user, but this sounds more like an attempt to circumvent T.M. protection and not a direct "hack". Just don't click on anything which pops up. Run a full scan, and I would recommend using Trend's free "Housecall".
Please let us know how this works out.

Hi KobusVT,

Have you consulted your mail client about this? This sounds like a scam to me so it would be best to verify this with them directly. Get back to us with the details, and we'll proceed from there.

By the way, do not use any of the info provided on the suspected scam email to contact your mail client.

I've had this happen several times, & passed it along to my ISP, who say "Just ignore it." It's like the Nigerian King who dies every week or two, & his window wants me to handle the $billion he had stuffed in his mattress.

Yeah, they've been around for quite some time now. Good thing about them, I think, is that they made you question everything you see in the internet.
