Hi Quinn,

I quote Linda, a TM employee:

Thanks for asking your question in our community! For your question, there're software out there that are categorized as Potentially Unwanted Application (PUA). PUA software typically does provide workable features, but is a channel to mislead users to view ads, display popups, or click on dangerous websites. PUA software are usually installed as an option along with other free software. Most people do not uncheck the option and that's how these PUAs end up in customer PCs. Because PUA software features function normally, Trend Micro will not detect it as a malware and therefore will not block it. PCKeeper is a PUA software.

We have an online help doc to guide you to remove PUAs, though sometimes PUAs are not easy to uninstall:
Uninstalling Potentially Unwanted Application (PUA)

Alternatively, since you're a valued subscriber of our premium support service, please call our 24x7 premium support center and a support expert will work with you to diagnose and resolve your issue. Please find the premium support number for Australia in this web page.

Thanks and please let me know if we were able to answer your question and resolve your issue.

Kind regards,
Tom

Thank you for the help as usual @Tom Emmelot :)

Hello and welcome to the community @Quinn.Brewer!

Tom has posted the correct solution for your concern already which is to check for Potentially Unwanted Programs. These are common causes for the pop-up that you've received. It also seems like it could be a toolbar or extension connected to your Google Chrome browser.

I also checked the records and you are indeed under a Premium Service license so you could actually call our 24/7 support hotline where they can remotely access your machine and fix said issue for you. You will find the North America number under the "Call Premium Hotline" section.
