EA Games "Origin" gaming client will not open since upgrading to version 15.0

Since upgrading to version 15, the EA Games "Origin" gaming client will not open. The process is running in the background with CPU at 80%. If I restart and exit Trend Micro before launching Origin, it works fine. Also worked fine with Trend Micro Max Security version 12.
Trend Micro Maximum Security v 15.0.1172, Windows 10 x64 1803
