Hi. I just purchased brand new computer and the sales person talked me into your company instead of others. Now I keep getting a notice that my drivers are not updated and I have only been up and running for 2 days. I am familiar with this from running my old XP os with AVG etc and having to update drivers...Is this something not included with your support?

I have this problem myself. Somehow "Reimage" got into my computer some months ago and every time I've gone to delete it I get "File is in use. Try again later." I've checked it out and from what I've found, it's harmless....But I can't be certain. I just ignore it and close the program when I get notifications from it.

Maybe someone else here will have some better info about it which would benefit both of us.

@woodartisan55 Thanks for sharing your experience! These potentially unwanted programs (we call them PUP or PUA) are sneaky and can create some real problems. A good advice is to always double the checkboxes in any new software install, especially FREE software.

@DC8583 Congrats on your new PC and thanks for taking the offer to install Trend Micro Internet Security! Regarding the driver update notice you're getting, they're definitely not related to Trend Micro, as our product does not cover driver update features. Could you check the following first:
  • Have you installed any additional software after your PC purchase?
  • Do you see any programs in your Control Panel's programs list that you did not install? e.g. Reimage, DriverUpdate (by Slimware), etc.
Also, it would be helpful if you could attach a screenshot of the driver update message in this discussion thread, and we can help investigate further.

Thanks for using Trend Micro!
