Does Trend Micro Maximum Security protect us while on the internet and while emailing? Our Internet provider is telling us we are not protected and wants us to download their Internet Security. I just don't want to double up on internet security if Trend Micro Maximum Security already protects us while on the internet. Please advise.

Yes rstomlinson, it does. Open your scan page/icon, go to "settings" which is normally the little "gear" to the right of the scan circle. From there you can get to your wireless and email protections. I think that your internet provider may be trying to sell you something that you don't need at all.

Welcome to the Home Users Community, rstomlinson.

Thank you for your inquiry. The Trend Micro Maximum Security program should be able to protect your local files. Other files that can be retrieved from a different source over the internet should already be protected by their providers. If you have an email program, you may do some configurations for your added security.. an example for that is the Junk Email settings for Outlook.

Is it possible that your Internet Service Provider is trying to offer you a security over your home network? In spite of that, please know that Trend Micro Maximum Security program is already protecting you. :)

Please advise us if you have any further inquiries regarding this. Thank you!

Regards,
