Disable Internet Protection Permanently

When using Internet & Email controls, my browsing speed is reduced considerably.  It is a major problem with anything that seems to use AJAX.

I note that when turning the feature off, it is automatially re-applied on startup.  How do I stop this?  I don't want the speed fixed, I want the protection turned off.

Thank you for reporting this issue. For your question, since Block potentially dangerous websites feature of Web threats is the main feature of Trend Micro Security, for your safety, we are sorry to inform you that you can not disable this feature permanently.

We understand that when enabling the internet protection feature of Trend Micro Maximum Security, your browsing speed reduces considerably. We definitely want to help you to solve this issue, so we would like to understand your situation a bit more. Just to confirm:
  1. Which browser(s) are you using ? (e.g. Internet Explorer11, Google Chrome, FireFox etc.)

  2. Are there any other antivirus (Security) programs installed on your computer? (e.g. AVG, Trusteer Rapport, McAfee etc.) If yes, we have a support document which explains how to remove the conflicting program:

  3. If you are using FireFox,  you can try to update Shockwave Player to see if the issue is solved. You can refer to the following steps:
    a. Use your Firefox to go to Adobe's Shockwave Player download page and download the installer.    
    b. Close Firefox when the download has finished.
    c. Open the Shockwave Player installer file you downloaded and install it.
It's quite a few steps to perform, but please do let us know if it solves your error code issue. We'll assist you if you still encounter problems.

I'm using Chrome.  As stated in the original, the issue is both slow loading, mainly due to the increased load times of AJAX.  So obviously your checking of Java is checked and checked again.

It also does it in Chrome's safemode, so it's not an extension issue.

If I remove the program, will I be able to use the licence on another PC?

This is not an acceptable solution to me.  Nothing needs to be fixed, it is being caused by slow load times due to some hidden proxy setup.  Looks like TM are scanning each page I load, and each script on that page.

Sorry that the solution didn't work for you. For your question, sure, of course, you can use the license on another PC after removing the program. You can refer to the link below for detailed steps.
Installing Maximum Security 10 (2016) - Refer to "Download, Install And Activate On Your Secondary Or Other Computer"

However, we definitely want to help you to solve this issue, for a workaround, we suggest unticking the following item:
  1. Open your Trend Micro Security software main console by doing any of the following:
    -Double-click the Trend Micro desktop shortcut.
    -Double-click the Trend Micro icon on the system tray, found on the bottom-right corner.

  2. Click Settings (gear-like icon) to open the Protection Settings window.

  3. Click Internet & Email Controls.

  4. Click Web Threats.

  5. Untick the following item:
    - Prevent Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome from running malicious scripts on infected websites check off
    - Block Websites with unoriginal certificate
    - display the Trend Micro Toolbar on supported web browsers
If the problem still persists, please untick the "Check if programs try to make unauthorized changes to system settings and files that could threaten your security" item of Security & Tuneup Controls. Here's a support doc for your information:
Configuring the settings of your Trend Micro Security - See "Security Tuneup Controls" section and then untick the above item I mentioned.
