different version same program

I have Trend Micro Maximum Security; after the latest update the component version on all my desktops is 12.0.1153 but on my portable devices (Surface Book & Surface Pro) it is 111.1.1045. When checking for updates all devices report running latest. Some of the functionality is different; on the portable devices there is no mute mode and the Folder Shield still only protects one folder. Is there a reason portable devices can't run the 12.0.1153 version?

Desktop and mobile are different.
Usually versions does not match.

Some of the limitations are due to the system on wich software is running.
Again, ransomware and other kind of threats works differently from Windows/Mac and mobile systems.

Anyway, tou're running the correct latest versions. :)

My 2 pc's and my laptop and all are running the Trend Micro Maximum Security 2.0.1153 version. Did you use the same download and install? There should not be any difference.

Yes, same download, but it does make sense that it would be different for mobile devices.

Hi Tim Pratt and welcome to  the community!

Are all your devices running on Windows? If so, it should run on the same version which is 12.0 (latest version). It seems that your 2 devices are not yet updated to the latest version. You can actually upgrade it to version 12.0 by following the steps provided on the link below.

Upgrading Trend Micro Maximum Security to the latest version

Thank you. That did the trick. I upgraded the Surface Book and the Surface Pro is upgrading right now. Thanks again.

Sorry Tim,
my mistake.
Isi and Ben are right: I confused SurfaceBook with MacBook.

Please, excuse my mistake.
