My Crackdown 3 errors out after being added to exception list. I have had it working in the past but after recent update it still stops the game anywhere up to a minute after playing starts.

Hi Parraman and welcome to Trend Micro Community,

Have you tried to re-add the program to the exception list? Possible that the recent updates affected the file path of the program which is why the Trend Micro is detecting it.

Kindly add the whole folder of the program into the Exception list. You may refer to this link: Configuring the Exception List of Trend Micro Security software

Hope this helps

Hi Thanks for your reply,. Adding folders is not an option it always says open for folders. It only says okay when you click on a file not a folder. So how do you actually add a folder?

Thank you for the response Parraman

For adding a Folder, you'll have to click the "Open" button. After that, you should be back on the " Add Item Window" then click "Ok"

Here is the instruction for you to add programs or folders to the Exception Lists, do the following:

1. Open the Settings of Trend Micro by accessing it on the Mainconsole.
2. Click the Exception list then open the Program/ Folders then click  "Add".
3. On the "Add an Item", click the "Browse " button.
4. Search for the folder on your local disc where the Crackdown is located then click "Open"
5. Then you should be back on the " Add Item Window" then click "Ok"

Can you also provide us a screenshot of how you add it on the exception list?

Let me know how it goes.

Hi Ann,

I still could not get the open tab to go OK unless it was on a file. In any case, i mucked around with permissions and was able to resolve clicking on the updated Crackdown file.

You can close this ticket.

Thanks
