My computer no longer recognizes my iPod; therefore I can no longer download music from iTunes. One potential issue could be the security software. Is it possible MicroTrend is interfering with the connection from my computer to my iPod?

Please check if the problem still persists after you temporarily disable Trend Micro Security.
