I have the same problem, I did all of this...took several hours over the phone with support. Worked for about a week now it's up over 1.3M usage and causing major computer delays. Support doesn't call back, doesn't help and has no idea how to help. It's pathetic.
It's been several weeks since I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice and it just keeps sucking up all of my storage.

Case was already handled by Escalations team.

Please reference the new conversation here: Trend Micro Program Uses 1.3M of CPU Usage

NOT, I was on the phone waiting for the escalation team who didn't call at the appointed time two days in a row then kept me on hold for 49 minutes and asked that I hold for longer or talk to someone who would waste my time until they could get the escalation team on the phone. What a joke!

Ditto... The 'Trend Micro Anti-Malware Solution Platform' wakes up at unexpected times and basically freezes other applications for several minutes. The indications are CPU and Disc usage go up, sometimes to 40% or more. As soon as they drop off, the other applications return to normal.

Not sure what 3 solutions you are suggesting?  I have scanned the PC;I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and also uninstalled a second timewith the Trend tool provided and reinstalled. Problem still happens; CPU goes high, up to 95%, and all running applications become unresponsive.

Hi bitnerd,

The 3 ways to start up TM as the pic.
That way TM is running ar first or on the startup or when the most programs are runng.
So maybe the problem will not come up.
So try the 3 ways and see what happen.

Kind regards,
Tom

My computer is not scanning either. when it does scan I set it for midnight and at 8 in the morning it's only done 11%...sucking 1.4M in memory the whole day...have to shut my computer down twice a day so that the coreshell stops sucking all of my memory with all of the windows open...it's not temporary, it's constant.

Under (Device / Security / Other Options) I selected the 'Extra Security' button as you suggested and it seems to have solved the problem. Thank You!
