compatibility with outlook 2010?

yesterday (13/7/17) I ran the latest upgrade from microsoft. I'm an outlook 2010 user, today when I try to open outlook it hangs when trying to load the trendmicro antispam add-in. I do not know if the problem is caused by outlook, the upgrade or an incomatibility with trend antispam. Have you any other reports of a similar problem.

now I have managed to open outlook 2010 in safe mode and it works properly. It appears that there is a problem with the trendmicro antispam add-in for outlook.

Hi, I've same problem. After shut down Trend Micro Outlook can start correctly. Do you have an other interim solution until fix?

so I got round the problem yesterday (14/7) by starting outlook in safe mode then going to options and closing the antispam tool inside outlook. But I must have made a mistake 'cos this morning (15/7) it was same again. I've reopened outlook in safe mode, disabled the antispam tool and savedtoclose outlook. This time it came up ok but I am without my antispam tool which I would not 'rather' be. Waiting on a fix from Trend.

Hi gayleandjim,

Try this, close outlook, open Config Menu from TM, go to Internet & mail, go to Spam & Files send...
shut off both items. click on confirm close console. Then start outlook TMToolbar should be gone.
To put it on again, close outlook, and do the same above and put them both on, confirm close console.
Then start Outlook again, it schould come up again and working right.

We already made a hotfix regarding this issue. Kindly follow these following steps:
  1. Make sure that your Trend Micro Security program has not started running any scans or receiving any updates.
  2. Click the button below to download the hotfix, then save it to your desktop: Download Hotfix
  3. Double-click the Ti_1100_win_en_Titanium_TMAS_hfb1027 icon.
  4. Accept the License Agreement, then click the Next button.
  5. Click Install.
  6. Click OK when a warning window opens.
Please let us know if this hotfix fixed the issue.

Hi TM_Ferry, got your note this morning and immediately installed the fix - it is in place and seems to be working fine. I had no problems installing it and no problems running Outlook once the fix was installed. Thanks for your good work!
