Chrome blocked by Trend micro max security

I have had no problems running chrome and Trend Micro maximum security until today.
When I try to run chrome today I get a message
"Someone tried to exploit vulnerabilities in chrome.exe. Trend Micro maximum security stopped the attack and chrome.exe for you your safety. You do not need to do anything else so feel free to close this message."

Is this a genuine attack on my system? what can I do about it and how can I run chrome safely in future?

Thank you for contacting us in our community! For your issue, other customers have encountered the similar issue, and we found that they all installed "Trusteer Rapport" as a conflicting software. It's not advisable to have more than one security program on your computer since it may result in a conflict and the programs may not work properly. Please check if you have an existing Trusteer Rapport or other conflicting software on your computer. If yes, please uninstall the program. Here's a reference doc for the steps:

We'll assist you if you still encounter problems. Thank you.
