Can't scan or update SW.

Receiving this error anytime I attempt to begin a scan or manually check for SW updates: "You cannot get started on this until you have finished receiving an update or running a scan. Please try again later." No update is running, nore is there an update downloading or installing. I have closed Trend Micro and rebooted PC a couple of times, no help.

I apologize for the inconvenience that you are experiencing. May I know the version of the Trend Micro program that you have that is causing the issue?You can click on this link for you to check.

Checking if you have the latest version of Trend Micro Security software installed

If you are still using the old version which is version 11, you can click on this link for you to first remove the Trend Micro program using our Remnant Remover tool on this link.

Using the Trend Micro Remnant File Remover Tool

Then after running the Remnant Remover tool please go to this link to install the latest version of the Trend Micro program.

Upgrading Trend Micro Security to the latest version
