Cannot update Trend Micro for Mac

Error message: 
Unable to perform the update. An unexpected error has occurred (20547). Try to perform the update again. If the problem persists, contact your support provider.
MacBook Pro late 2011; OS Sierra 10.12.3; Trend Micro for Mac.
Searching for error code 20547 produced no results.

I have checked and it seems you have currently engaged in chat with one of our technicians. You have been given a hotfix right? May I ask if it worked to resolve your issue?

By the way, just a quick question to verify if I'm correct. Are you experiencing the issue whenever you click on the "Update Now" button at the center of your Trend Micro program window? If not, share with us on how you do the update.

To further help you out, try restarting the Trend Micro components first. See if this solves your issue

Enabling and Disabling your Antivirus for Mac

If that doesn't work, try to reinstall the Trend Micro Antivirus program.

Upgrading your Trend Micro Security for Mac to the latest version
