Best Buy sends emails to users of Kaspersky to switch over to TrendMicro

So Trend Micro jumps on the  bandwagon to discredit Kaspersky over government fears of "Russian hacking" by offering free Trend Micro to users of Kaspersky antivirus?.

The only proof (up until today that is) of Kaspersky and "hacking" was our own CIA forging Kaspersky certificates:

And now it appears that the whole "Russia" thing is a sham put forth by the Deep State!

"Security" companies should work together not try and discredit others.

I am now purging your product and all your suspicious certificates from all my devices.

-I'm not a Trend Micro representative, but I like to give you some suggestion-

I think Trend Micro is not responsible on wich kind of marketing or mail spam Best Buy is doing...

Anyway I agree with you: Kaspersky have done nothing wrong.

Hello sloshnmosh1 and welcome to the community.

Just to let you know, Trend Micro is not related or not responsible to what happened with Kaspersky. We did not discredit or did anything to them for that to happen, it is not based on our decision.

Also, the email that you receive from Best Buy is a good measure to make sure that the subscription that you bought from them for Kaspersky will not be wasted because they can no longer operate.

Have a great day.
