I manually renewed Trend Micro, turned auto renew off. A week and a half later I got charged for a renewal. When I chatted with customer support they did process a refund, but I can expect to wait one to two weeks for my refund. Interesting that they can take my money instantly when I auto renewed, but take this long to give the money back. Also the auto renew is at the full retail price, $25 more than when I manually renewed. Why is this?

Regarding the refund that you have already requested, it is filed at once but the refund process still follows the procedures of the banks for it to take 5-7 business days for them to completely return the amount.

For the price of the auto-renew, you will be charged 90% of the regular price. Subscriptions under the feature is eligible for 10% discount from the regular price of the product for every auto-renewal.
