Prior to installing TrendMicro, if I went to an internet site and it asked for my email address when I started to type it in it would fill in the info after typing a couple of letters.  Now I have to type in the full email address every time.  It also doesn't fill in such things as my name, address, etc. in forms as it did before.  I am on a PC running Windows 7 Pro and using Trend Micro Maximum Security.

Hi Phtorb,

Welcome to TM Home users Community, a public site where volunteers try to help each-other , also there are TM Employees that can give answers, that is only at working hours.
Tell us first, the browser you use?
And did you install the TM password Manager?

Kind regards,
Tom

I'm using Firefox and I have the password manager installed.

Another question, my PC is running slow, it takes from 8 to 10 minutes or more to get to the screen with my icons.  And its not because I don't have power--I have an SSD for my C drive and I'm running 32gb of ram.  Sometimes when I'm typing I'll be 2 or 3 letters ahead before they show on the screen.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi photorb.

This slowing down is began after Install of the new latest TM version?
Can you see with the task-manager if there are TM program's using a lot of the CPU?
If so can you take a screenshot?
If the problem started after install of TM i suggest to do a uninstall of TM.
Restart the computer and do regclean with Ccleaner.
Then d o a fresh install of TM.

One other quick question. How do I get the TM pop up thing to stop popping up on EVERY page I click when on a particular website? I understand if it pops up once, but if I click the "X" button, i don't want it appearing again. How can I stop that from happening if I should want to?

Hello @photorb and welcome to the community!

May I know if you have created a profile to enable to form filling feature of the Password Manager program and are you using this feature when you encountered the error? If you are not using the Form Filling feature of the Password Manager program, can you please check your Mozilla Firefox browser by clicking the 3 horizontal lines on the upper right corner of the browser and click on options. Then click on Privacy and under History there is a box for "Remember search and form history", there should be a check mark on the box for the form history. If there is none please put a check mark on the box and check your browser if it is now remembering the information that you typed.

Now for your second concern, do you have another security program aside from the Trend Micro program? Let say Malwarebytes? If you do have 2 security programs installed on your computer it will definitely slow down your computer, because both programs are consuming computer resources and the components will conflict with each other and the detection of each program will be compromised. Please uninstall any other security programs that you have and check if your computer is still running slow.

I hope this was able to answer your concern please do not hesitate to comment or post in this community.
