Are all versions of System mechanic compatible with trend micro maximum security?

I looked at the list of incompatible programs for trend micro maximum security and saw system mechanic was on it. is only system mechanic Pro incompatible or are all version of system mechanic? . I use system mechanic premium just to keep my system clean and running smoothly It doesn't come with antivirus like system mechanic pro does. and when i reinstalled trend micro after suffering from the current bug that is making trend shut down and relaunch constantly(which is still happening).WHen it did the system check and did not detect it as incompatible but i just want to be safe and get an experts take on it.

I am replying in hopes that Trend will copy me with their answer to this. It did not break my heart to uninstall SM, because from the time I bought it I was barraged with pop-ups advising me to buy a better version or to renew when I had 11 1/2 months left on my subscription.

I know that some people don't like the adds (they don't bother me). But trend is still turning off and on for me even after a clean install. I saw that system mechanic was on the incompatible list but I NEED if system mechanic premium is also incompatible or not.

Welcome to TM Home users Community, a public site where volunteers try to help each-other , also there are TM Employees that can give answers, that is only at working hours. I am just a volunteer!

I f you use the Free version of SM, than you can better use Ccleaner and for both programs, dont use any real-time scanning!!!
I just installed it for test purpose without any problems.

Okay So if i disable all the real time scanning features on SM  it will fix the restart bug?

Hi

To solve that problem a reinstall of TM is the best change to fix that!
But i advice to uninstall SM first and after the install of TM do the install of SM.

Please know that our advice would be to uninstall all incompatible software to avoid experiencing performance issues. Also, kindly check the thread: Updates on some issues with Scanning and Trend Micro program turning off for the troubleshooting steps.
