anti malware solution 20-30% of cpu when trying to play fortnite. doesnt happen with any other games

i just want to play fortnite without the massive frame drops that this spike in cpu usgae is causing

Have you noticed the Trend Micro program's activity when this happened? Was it running a scan or installing an update? If so, it is normal that the program may use some of your computer's resources. If neither of this happened, you may add the game to the Trend Micro program's exception list. Here's how:

I have the same issue but while playing a different game (TC's The Division 2). I have already added all associated apps and services related to the game and it's launcher to the exception list, but for some reason TM jumps from 0% to 25% CPU utilization only when playing the game. Is there anyways to know what TM is while playing? I have tried to locate the specific process, but have found nothing. I looked high CPU issues in general through this forum and installed a hotfix through one of the suggested actions from a moderator. Still the same results.
