Each time I open Firefox browser I get a pop up window that says "Access violation at address 0040AE7F in module 'Control Center.exe'. Read of address 0000000C"
What should I do about this?  Browser seems to work OK in spite of the message.

Hello timolawless and welcome to the community!

As for your concern, based on the access violation at address error, this is because the software on your computer tried to access a protected memory address. This memory address which is currently protected should not be accessed by the software you are trying to open on your computer, except for the software that is currently using it.

What you can do for this is to uninstall the browser in your Control Panel then you can download the software again from the link below.

Download Firefox

Also, may I know if you have seen this error after installing/updating the Trend Micro software in your computer?

Hope this information helps you. We will be waiting for your response.

Thank you for your help, I will follow your instructions to uninstall and reinstall Firefox.  Yes, this pop up happened before and after my renewal a few days ago, which I assume had updates.
