A problem with MacAfee can Trend help

I have MacAfee total protection.
Have just installed an updated version of a software program I have used for 8 years.
MacAfee is repeatedly deleting a suspicious file - I am confident it is a false positive situation.
MacAfee tech support tell me they cannot stop this and I cannot list the files to avoid them being deleted.
I used Trend until a year or so ago but changed to MacAfee.
Can you tell me, if I install Trend as a replacement security will I be able to ensure these files can be secured so they are not deleted?

Hi liddies and welcome to the community! 

We are not sure if that file that you want to exclude will be detected by the Trend Micro program or not, that depends on the behavior of the file. (The program may be tagged as harmful, malicious, suspicious or clean.)

The Trend Micro program will give you an option on what you want to do with the detected file, if you want to quarantine, restore, delete or clean the file. If the file was deleted automatically, you can restore it and that file will be added to the program's  exception list already. If you believe that the files detected are safe, you can also file for a reclassification to us so we can check if it is really safe or not.

You can attach screen shots of the result upon running the HouseCall so we can check it as well.

Hi ,

For support any software , contact with same software maker .

if have McAfee , contact with McAfee support and if have Trend Micro contact with Trend Micro support .

if you want change to Trend Micro .

- Remove mcAfee 

- Reset computer

- Install & register Trend Micro
