[Home Network Security] Port forward in compatibility mode

Hey folks... I am wondering if there's any workaround for port forwarding not working when using the Home Network Security device in compatibility mode.

Hello freitasm ! Welcome to the community!

I would like to apologize about this but, if you will be using the Compatibility mode or the DHCP mode, Port Forwarding will not work. But, rest assured that we will be requesting for the improvement of this feature to our product team. Hopefully, the next release can support port forwarding to rectify this type of problem. 

However, if you really need to use port forwarding, you may try using a fully compatible router so you will no longer need to configure the Home Network Security device in Compatibility Mode.

Thanks @TM_Kiko... Unfortunately I have a Synology RT2600ac - it's not in the list of supported routers. I do have a Fritz!box 7490 (in the list) but rather use the Synology for now.

While I have your attention, a couple of times the app asked me to remove a device that is "monitoring" my network - it just happens that this "device" IP address is the Home Network Security device itself. Anyone reported this before?

This is actually a known issue and will be fixed on future updates.  For the meantime, please ignore the message. You may opt to close and reopen the app. Thank you by the way for noticing and reporting this.

Hello freitasm. I do apologize for the late response.

I am sorry to inform you that this feature may not be supported in coming updates.

Our Home Network Security devices still does not support port forwarding.
