Problem with WIFI-Protection OSX Monterey

I have the wifi protection installed however when trying to add a "VPN always on " for the Ethernet its not activating. The wired connection comes up as %%PWP_WIRED_SSID. It allows me to save it but its not activating the VPN on it automatically . Manually is fine

This issue occurs due to the following reasons:

There is another VPN app installed
Your VPN Proxy One Pro is not set to run automatically

Here's how you can fix this:

Remove the incompatible app
a. Check if there are any other VPN or internet-monitoring apps on your device.
b. Remove the apps together with the VPN Proxy One Pro.
c. Restart your device, then reinstall the VPN Proxy One Pro.
Allow the app to run automatically
a. Open the device Settings.
b. Go to Privacy > Let apps run in the background.
c. Choose VPN Proxy One Pro from the list of apps, and make sure the setting is enabled.
