Unable to Connect to Trend Micro

I am unable to complete the Trend Micro software update. I followed the steps in a previous post here for the same "Unable to Connect to Trend Micro" error I'm experiencing, but no luck. My internet connection is fine and my subscription is active. Please help.

 Hi @lisapedrotti

Welcome to Trend Micro Home Users Community.

May I know what is the version of Trend Micro installed on your computer? To check, you may refer to this link below:

How to check if you have the latest version (Trend Micro Security for Windows)

In the meantime, please try to follow these steps below:

  1. On your keyboard, please press the Windows Key and R key at the same time.
  2. Type supporttool and click OK.
  3. Click Yes when the User Account Control window appears.
  4. On the Diagnostic Toolkit window, click the (C) Uninstall tab, then click 5. Stop all components.
  5. Wait for a minute then click on 2. Delete Now and 3. Delete Now.
  6. Wait for another minute and try to open the Trend Micro app.

Kind regards,

Tom

I am also having this issue. In my case, Trend Micro seems unable to "see" my internet connection. Any suggestions?

Hi bernie310hancock & lisapedrotti,

This happens when your computer is experiencing network issues, and the program cannot connect to the Internet to get the latest updates.

If the suggested solution above didn't work, you can try to follow the instructions below to resolved the concern.
