Trendmicro pops up too many messages specially the "Mute mode is off" message

As other users have complained Trendmicro pops up too many messages. 

For instance I would like to get rid of the "Mute mode is off" message, forever. When I watching a youtube playlist with many short videos I would get that notification very often, e.g. after each video stops. I know there is an option to disable notifications temporarily but I want to disable that specific one forever.

Hi gerardohcampos,

 

The feature Mute Mode is used to temporarily stop non-critical notifications while you are doing an important task and automatically stops non-critical notifications when the PC is in full-screen mode. 

 

When you're using your computer may it be gaming or watching a movie on full screen it delays non-critical notifications from Trend Micro so you can enjoy browsing without interruptions.

 

You may also set a specified time when Mute Mode will run and add programs you want to be immediately off when Mute Mode is on.

You get this message "Mute Mode Has Been Turned Off" when it has been ON for 24 hours after extending it manually. Trend Micro does not allow enabling Mute Mode for this long as you might miss important updates, scans, and detection notifications.

 

May I also know what other pop up are occurring in your device? Can you take a screenshot of it so I can fully verify the concern?

No I get this message all the time, several times in just a few minutes. So much I feel Trendmicro is spamming me

I have several licences. Unfortunately I will probably cancel them if this is not resolved. As I said it happens mainly after a video finishes.

May I know the current version of the Trend Micro program? please try to run an update and check if you have the latest version:

You may also try to follow these steps and check if the issue will persist:

  1. Press the Windows Key & R at the same time, the run window should appear.
  2. Type supporttool then click OK. The Trend Micro Diagnostic toolkit will open.
  3. Go to (C) Uninstall, click 5. Stop all Components & 2. Delete Now.
  4. Reopen the Trend Micro program, run a full scan and verify if the issues persist.

It was already the latest version of Trendmicro Antivirus+ 17.7.1383 on Windows 10. See attached image.
I noticed the "Mute mode is off" appears everytime I am watching a video in the full screen mode and then I leave the full screen mode.
Please change the software!
