Email Defender now available for Yahoo Mail

 

 

 

Bugs Resolved

  • Error message "Email Defender cannot work" appears when Using Outlook on Web
  • Facebook Privacy Scan gets stuck at "Fixing UI"
  • URL Rated "Safe" by Site Safety Center not detected or "Unrated" by Browser Search
  • The wrong page opens when clicking the [Learn More] link on Privacy Scanner
  • Page links are still highlighted with rating when turned off
  • URL Rating function does not work when opened on Gmail in a new window
  • Email Defender does not work when opening Gmail in a new window
  • Page Rating popup is shown after disabling the toolbar from the Trend Micro Security setting page
  • Mouse-over Rating does not work on Yahoo Mail
  • Incorrect status of Email Defender on Trend Micro for Edge/Chrome in Outlook

And you still reset the "Silent mode" every 24 h, or earlier, spamming us with pointless and annoying messages?

No need to worry! The privacy concern displayed on LinkedIn is not a promotional or spam banner. We have resolved the issue regarding "No Privacy Scanner promotion is shown on the LinkedIn homepage" as the privacy concern detection feature should be visible on LinkedIn pages whenever there are privacy concerns detected on the privacy scanner page. You may refer to the sample images below:

With Regards to the Mute Mode feature that has a limit of 24 hours, the reason for this limit is to ensure that you don’t miss anything important or any critical notifications. If you happen to see Mute Mode Has Ended pop up from Trend Micro feel free to click on the link provided.

I keep worrying because your embedded spam and annoying messages keep popping up. And any attempt to disable them either is cancelled by your own spamware, or you refuse updating the antivirus when the "silent mode" is forced infinitely, as it is in corporate version.

This is called an intimidation, a racket, a chantage. You are criminals!

Could you possibly clarify your concern about "Silent/Mute Mode" if it is related to the KB link below?

Important Update Available pops up when Mute Mode is ON | Trend Micro Help Center

If you cannot temporarily disable Silent/Mute Mode, kindly refer to the instructions below:

  1. On your keyboard, press Windows R keys at the same time to open the Run window.
  2. Type supporttool.exe, then click OK.
  3. When the User Account Control window appears, click Yes.
    This will open the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit.
  4. Select the (C) Uninstall tab.
  5. Click 5. Stop All Components then after 1-3 minutes, Click 4. Start All Components
  6. Try to disable temporarily again the Silent/Mute Mode in the Main Console
  7. Make sure also that "Start Manual Mode" is unchecked.
  8. Update Trend Micro Program after turning off mute mode

Please, don't play dumb with me. You have implemented a lot of annoying spam, and the "automatically disable silent mode" feature is by design, having its own registry keys.

This thing is really worse than spam. I would rather host a botnet than renew the license for TrendMicro if you do not change this behaviour and not make the silent mode permanent and the same as in the corporate version. And I swear, I will do my best to warn everyone I know, or have in contacts about your way of torturing customers.

  1. The Version of your Trend Micro software.
  2. Screenshot of the pop-up.
  3. When and how often does the pop-up show?

What a disrespectful liars keeping customers for idiots. No other software in the world prevents critical updates when disabling embedded banners and spam functions! Not even Microsoft. I have no problems with critical updates when using ESET32 at home - it just keeps below the radars untill a threat is discovered, and always updated automatically.

But you  guys, are the worst! 

//Increadible, they insert their spam even here, when trying to create the quoted text - an ad is added automatically. Trendmicro are professional cybercriminals in disguise.

@tm_gela​ you already have it in corporate version. it works and is updated silently without any annoying popup, until a real threat is discovered.

Just remove the locks, which prevent using that mode in consumer version.
