Trend Micro Antivirus causing issues on Intel Evo Laptops
Hello everyone,
I wanted to share an issue that I've been experiencing with my Intel Evo Laptop [https://www.lenovo.com/sg/en/faqs/intel/intel-evo-platform] and Trend Micro Antivirus. I recently installed Trend Micro Antivirus on my laptop and noticed that it has been causing some performance issues.
Specifically, I have been experiencing slow boot times, laggy performance, and even some random crashes. I did some research and found out that I am not alone in this issue. Many other Intel Evo Laptop users have been reporting similar problems after installing Trend Micro Antivirus.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software, but the issue persists. I also tried disabling some of the features of the antivirus, but that didn't seem to help either.
Has anyone else experienced this issue with Trend Micro Antivirus and their Intel Evo Laptop? If so, have you found any solutions to this problem? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or advice on how to resolve this issue as it's really impacting my productivity.
Thanks in advance!

I have a Lenovo IdeaPad and TrendMicro slows down all of my processes tremendously. Very frustrating! Wish they would fix this issue!!

Hello @judywatsonn ,
Thank you for your patience. Let's check on the Task Manager to confirm if the Trend Micro is the one having a high percentage usage of your resources or other application. If Trend Micro is consuming the resources, what we can do is to check first if the Trend Micro is up to date. Here's how ,How to update Trend Micro Antivirus on Windows | Trend Micro Help Center.
If ever the Trend Micro components are up to date and still the one having the high percentage usage, we need to run fix High CPU and Memory Usage when Trend Micro program is ON | Trend Micro Help Center.
Keep me posted.
