I have the same issue. Every time I start my computer it takes forever for it to go through the TrendMicro process. Very frustrating!

Don't worry, TM is aware and working on a solution. In maximum 6-8 months a patch will be available.

meanwhile TM_kree is educating us about "modern parenting"......

Welcome to Trend Micro Home Users Community!

We received multiple reports from other users who are experiencing the same issue. A dedicated team is working to fix the problem and identify the root cause. 

Here's a workaround you can try shared by @hmozart, a Community member:

  • Right-click the Trend Micro icon from the taskbar.
  • Select Check for Program Updates and it should go back to normal.

If the issue persists, you may try to reinstall the program.
