Scan hangs on licensemanagershellext.exe

The Trend Micro Scan Engine hangs on the file Licensemanagershellext.exe EVERY single time it runs.  I have excluded the location.  I have excluded the file.  nothing works.

This is not the usual behavior of our program. Kindly try to restart Trend Micro's components and check if the issue will still persist. Here's how:

  1. Press the Windows and R keys on your keyboard to open the Run window.
  2. In the Open field, type supporttool.exe, then click OK.
  3. Click Yes when the User Account Control Window appears. The Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit will open.
  4. Click the (C) Uninstall tab.
  5. Click 5. Stop all components.
  6. Wait for 10 seconds for the Trend Micro icon in the taskbar notification area to disappear.
  7. After that, click 4. Start all components.
  8. Check if the issue persists.
