Reinstalling and Restart Required
Hello all: I had the same problem as silverspirit007 in his post 5 months ago. After the upgrade I was in a perpetual reinstall and restart loop. The difference was that the remedies suggested by tm_kath did not work for me. Ultimately only the sledgehammer approach worked. I went into the registry (regedit.exe; only for administrators) searched for "Trend Micro" and "TrendMicro" and deleted every entry that matched. At the reinstall, I opted for the trial version first. Now my Trend Micro is back in operation.
