Quick Scan stuck at 'Scanning for potentially incompatible programs...'

A popup window appears at the bottom right screen saying 'Scanning for potentially incompatible programs...' and never disappears. It has two options, pause is not available (greyed out) and stop. Hitting stop does not do anything.

It says the quick scan is at 100% if I open the main window, but I am unable to stop it there either. Clicking on the Stop option does not do anything.

Windows 10

Everything is up-to-date.

For this concern, please try to install the version 17 of Trend Micro Program. Check if the same issue persists after upgrading the version.

Thanks @alyssa_alonzo, it seems to have solved it.

I didn't know that the automatic updater does not do version upgrades.

Now it's all clear, thank you for your help.
