Payguard keeps opening pages

When I use Edge to open Amazon AU website, payguard keeps opening the same amazon page again and again, it won't stop. I know there are similiar cases like mine, so I tried solutions provided in other cases, including runing supporttools and update Edge to the latest version, it doesn't work. But there is a strange side on this issue. When I open Amazon page from the saved icon on Edge, it won't pop up multiple pages by itself, but if I search the webside first then open the link, it will keep opening the pages. And, only Amazon is having this problem, not eBay, not Alibaba. So if anyone can help me with this I'm really appreciated because it's becoming really annoying. I can see over the years, people are having the same issues over and over, it's really not ideal that a solution is still pending after this long time.

@tm_angelo Hi Angelo, thank you for helping me, Edge is my default browser and I already followed this solution before, it's latest version and it doesn't work. What I'm curious about is that, why only Amazon is having the issue and not other shopping websites?

Can you try to check the settings of your Pay Guard?

You may configure the settings of Pay Guard from the main console. Just open Trend Micro and go to Privacy, then click Configure button for Pay Guard.

Kindly uncheck "Ask every time before opening banking or shopping websites in Pay Guard" and check if it is still the same.

Hi, Angelo,

Thank you for your reply, I followed your steps into the Configure button for Pay Guard, the box was unchecked in the first place, but there are amazon website and microsoft website listed in the protected website list, I removed both of them, just for trying. It worked, the popping up stopped. I guess now I have to manually open up the pay guard if I'm doing online banking or shopping. Is there a way in the middle, between opening the protected website nonstop and not opening at all, that pay guard will only open the protected website once when needed? Does that making sense?

We'll try some steps to verify if it will work on your end, can you try it:

1. Check if you have the latest version of Edge.

Open the new Microsoft Edge, select Settings and more at the top of the window, and then select Settings.
Scroll down and select About Microsoft Edge.

2. After updating the browser, verify if the issue persists. If yes, proceed to the next step.

3. Try changing your default browser to Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox - make sure it's on the latest version, verify if it's still opening on multiple tabs.

4. Lastly, if all steps didn't work please try to reinstall the Trend Micro program.
